So, you got past our favorite excuses and decided to participate? Let’s freaking go!

  1. Give yourself some grace. If it’s been a long time since you’ve worked out or you don’t know anyone, just show up and be yourself. At one point we were all the new guy.

  2. MODIFY the workout as needed to match your fitness level. This is a long-term play and getting yourself back into shape can take a little time. Do not be embarrased, ashamed or dicouraged if you need to change things up or walk a bit. We’ve all been there. Progress is a long term play.

  3. Check out the Lexicon. We have a nick name for everything you do. The Lexicon will give you a definition behind our secret language.

  4. All you need to bring is an open mind and a positive attitude. Wear your regular outdoor workout clothes and, unless you have farmer hands, consider bringing a pair of gloves.

  5. If you are not meeting a friend at your first post, simply show up and introduce yourself as an FNG. You’ll be welcomed.
